The opportunity Established business communities, no year-round trade presence.
Southern California is home to large, established Middle Eastern and
Arab-American business communities, concentrated in Los Angeles County,
Orange County and the Inland Empire. The companies in them work across
food, grocery, bakery and restaurant supply, import and export and
wholesale trade, construction and contracting, automotive, jewelry,
healthcare practices and professional services.
Trade across these communities runs heavily on relationships and
referral. That is a real commercial strength, and it is also exactly
why a searchable year-round trade presence is worth more here than
another annual banquet or mixer. A referral network works beautifully
right up until the supplier you need sits one step outside it. At that
point there is nowhere obvious to look.
Middle Eastern Expo is built the other way around. The live expo is the
moment the business community shows up together in one room. The
always-on directory behind it is the part that keeps working, so a
restaurant group sourcing a distributor in March can still find the
companies that exhibited back in October.
